What are we becoming?

For its 5th edition, Anafi International Film Festival invites filmmakers to submit short films that explore METAMORPHOSIS, transformation not simply as a process of change, but as an essential condition of existence.

Bodies grow, decay, transition and desire. Landscapes burn and bloom again. Identities shift, relationships evolve, and familiar worlds become increasingly unfamiliar.

We are looking for films that inhabit this space in between: works about adaptation and resistance, intimacy and alienation, destruction and regeneration. Films where personal transformations intersect with social, political and ecological change. Films that challenge fixed identities and imagine alternative ways of existing.

Fiction, documentary, animation, experimental and hybrid forms are welcome. We are especially drawn to independent cinema that takes risks, challenges form and pushes narrative and visual boundaries.
